Eugene J. Williams, Esq. retires as Executive Director of the Grundy Foundation after 22 years

Per the Grundy Foundation website, the Board of Trustees will rename the exhibit room in the Margaret R. Grundy Memorial Library after Mr. Williams. The board and staff will host a reception in mid-November in the library for the dedication. To commemorate the occasion, a plaque will be unveiled during the reception to which donors and special guests from the community will be invited.

The Grundy Foundation serves the Bristol Borough community through the Last Will & Testament of Joseph R. Grundy. Through his generosity, the Foundation oversees the Margaret R. Grundy Memorial Library and the Margaret R. Grundy Memorial Museum, providing resources and leadership to empower them to fulfill their missions and to serve as leading hubs of knowledge, culture, and inspiration for the Bristol Borough community, Pennsylvania, and beyond. Both the Library and the Museum were named in honor of Joseph’s only sister, Margaret. The Foundation also helps non-profit organizations achieve their missions through a grant program and other means of support.

“Gene’s 22 years of visionary leadership have shaped the Foundation, as well as the Grundy Library and the Grundy Museum, in profound ways, leaving a legacy that will be felt for generations. We are excited to see how Jamie’s extensive experience and passion for our work will lead us into the future,” said Frederick LaValley, Board Chair of the Grundy Foundation.

“It has been my honor to lead the Foundation over these last two decades. I am eager to support the archives project in my retirement and continuing to contribute to the story of our institution,” said Mr. Williams.
