BBSD to Shift Back to Full Virtual Instruction

[Bristol Borough, PA, November 13, 2020]

Dear Bristol Borough School Community,
As you may be aware, COVID-19 cases have continued to increase in Bucks County. Over the past two weeks, the County has moved from a designation of moderate to substantial based on the criteria set forth by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and the Pennsylvania
Department of Education. In an abundance of caution, the District will be going to full remote instruction on November 23, 2020. The Board will meet on December 3, 2020, at 7:00 PM to discuss returning to our hybrid model on December 7, 2020. In addition, the District is suspending all practices for winter sports until December 14, 2020. This too will be reviewed at the December 3, 2020, public meeting.

Please note that the rational for the move to remote learning is based on the number of cases in Bucks County and the potential spread of COVID-19 during the Thanksgiving holiday. The District has followed strict Health and Safety protocols and has not seen any spread of COVID-19 in the schools.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call the
school. We hope you have a safe and healthy Thanksgiving holiday.
Sincerely,
Dr. Rose Minniti
Superintendent of Schools
Bristol Borough School District
